Sauerkraut

It’s amazing what a little cabbage and salt can get you.Sauerkraut is a traditional fermented dish originating from Germany. In it’s most basic form, it is one of the easiest fermented foods to make since it only consists of cabbage and salt. However, more advanced and complex recipes can give it that extra pop you’ve been looking for but never thought was possible!

It is frequently eaten as a side dish alongsie bratwurst, mustard and a big pint of beer. There is even a tradition that says eating it at the beginning of the year will bring you goo dluck for hte rest of the year so dig in
